Kaeya

The Cataclysm is without a doubt the greatest important event in Genshin Impact history, as it saw Khaenri’ah destroyed and its inhabitants cursed. However, there are a few residents who are not only alive but have also escaped the curse that gave rise to the Abyss Order.

Zhongli

There have been several instances in Genshin Impact’s plot where Zhongli appears to be concealing something crucial from the Traveler. For one thing, even when it became clear that Zhongli was the Geo Archon, he never acknowledged his Fatui contract during Liyue’s arc in the main quest. Furthermore, the Geo Archon was shown to have information of the Cataclysm that he “is not permitted to tell the Traveler” during the events of Zhongli’s second quest, leading many others to question which side Zhongli truly works for.

Paimon

Paimon is the first character the Traveler encounters on their voyage through Teyvat (even before they meet everyone’s favourite Outrider Amber). Paimon, despite being the player’s oldest travelling companion, has few explanations as to who she is or what she is. Although there are many theories about Dainsleif, nothing is known about Paimon and her past.
