It was in the year 2013 when Kotb was invited to speak at an event at Wall Street Professionals.
Initially, she thought of backing up but then she ended up going where she met Joel.
Kotb was asked to sign some books at the event and Joel approached her saying he would take a book.
Kotb asked who he wanted her to write it to, and he said, “Write it to me.” The rest is history.
During the morning show, Kotb described Joel to be an adventurous man and recalled the moment when Joel said three magical words.
According to her, it was Joel who said “I love you” first. After hearing that, she sat there for a moment because she wanted to feel for a minute.
She remembered Joel saying to her not to leave him hanging out there seeing her pause.
As per the sources, Kyle is currently 27 years old.
According to some sources, her father, Joel Schiffman, has an estimated net worth of $22 million.
Hoda Kotb became a part of her life from the day her father began dating her in 2013, and she was happy to welcome Kotb into her life after her father finally popped the question in 2019.
In an interview with Closer Weekly, Kyle expressed that it was great to see just two of them so happy, and also, they loved doing the same things.
She also said at the time that they enjoyed each other's time and were perfect for each other.
Kyle is the only daughter of her parents. The name of her mother is still a mystery, but her parents are still on good terms.
Kyle told Closer Weekly that her parents are still friendly because of her and that they have always wanted to make sure that they at least kept a good relationship for the sake of her, which made it easier while growing up.
She also gushed about her dad, calling him a great dad and always fun to hang around.
Her father popped the question in November 2019 while they were on their vacation.
Kotb surprised her TODAY colleagues by announcing her engagement live on the show.
Kotb said they were on their usual vacation and ended up having dinner on the beach.
When they were almost done with their dinner, Joel said he had something more to say and said beautiful things before going down on one knee and saying ”Will you be my wife?”
During an interview with People the same year, Kotb said she and Joel wished to get hitched sooner than and might be doing a destination wedding.
But two years after getting engaged, they decided to part ways.
Kotb told Today that she and Joel have had a lot of prayerful and meaningful conversations over the holidays and arrived at the conclusion that they were better as friends and parents than they are as an engaged couple.
They decided to remain co-parents to their two adopted daughters.
“We decided we are going to start this New Year and begin its kind of our new path as loving parents to our adorable delightful children and as friends”, she said.
She also cleared that it’s not something that happened.
Sometimes relationships are meant to be for a reason, for a season or a lifetime and that she feels theirs was meant to be for a season, she said.
