One dead, one hospitalized after stabbing at Boise nightclub

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - One man is dead, and another is hospitalized after an apparent argument over a cab at a local strip bar.

Boise Police says officers were called to the Torch Lounge nightclub on the 1800 block of West Main Street early Thursday.

When police arrived, they found 35-year-old Humberto Herrera of Hailey dead while another man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Boise PD says the victims may be related to each other, but did not clarify how.

The Ada County Coroner says Herrera died from a stab wound to the chest and listed his death as homicide.

Police said the suspects, Parley L. Ward, 32, of Meridian and Phillip D. Law, 30, ran from the scene after the stabbing.

"We had witnesses on scene, that were staff from the establishment, that were able to tell us that there were two people involved and they gave a direction on travel," said Lt. Ted Snyder with Boise Police.

Snyder told KBOI they found two men that witnesses described a short time later, but they ran from an officer.

Officers found and caught the suspects near the intersection of Whitewater Park Boulevard and Idaho Street. That happened about 90 minutes after the stabbing.

The suspects have been charged with murder and aggravated battery.
