Moscow Rebel Tigers volunteer coach Elizabeth King says she went to the team's storage unit on Saturday to pick up equipment and clothing and found about $4,200 in sporting equipment missing.
The stolen items include nine pairs of snowshoes, four pairs of cross-country boots, a set of cross-country skis, ski poles and 12 winter jackets.
King says she picks up the equipment every Saturday for the team's practice.
King says the team is accepting donated equipment and other north Idaho Special Olympics teams have promised to share equipment so they can compete in the state Winter Games from Feb. 28-March 2 at Sun Valley.
