Babatunde was born on May 26, 1989, in the town of Olesnica, Poland. Not much about his early life is known but, before joining the WWE or wrestling as a whole, he used to play American football. Babatunde started playing American football in 2005 as an offensive lineman. He played in the Polish American Football League (PAFL) in which he played for the team Giants Wroclaw and later with Warsaw Eagles. Babatunde even played in the German Football League for the Dresden monarchs. Later in 2015, Babatunde was signed into the National Football League (NFL) to play for the Minnesota Vikings, but unfortunately, he was released before the 2015 NFL season.
Babatunde Aiyegbusi, a powerful force in the professional wrestling industry, joined the elite WWE Performance Center in 2016 and began his WWE career. He went from being a bright prospect to becoming a household celebrity as his wrestling journey played out, complete with its turns and turns.
On September 20, 2016, the Nigerian-born wrestler made his professional wrestling debut as a face character in an NXT home event in Orlando, Florida, using his true name. As his abilities and ring presence grew, Babatunde assumed a supporting role, traveling with fellow wrestler Lio Rush to NXT live events from April 2018 until Lio joined 205 Live’s main roster.
